The final concert of GuitarSarasota’s 2007/08 season was an appearance of young French guitar virtuoso Thomas Viloteau. Viloteau has been the winner of the Guitar Foundation of America international guitar competition in 2006. He played to three ovations in our concert.

Thomas Müller-Pering, a German guitar virtuoso, one
of only a handful of guitarists that have won a prize at
the prestigious German Television (ARD) classical music
competition in Munich, performed to three standing
ovations. His other prizes include a first-prize at the
Concurso Internacional de Música 1983 in Vina del Mar,
Chile; and the Young Artist's Award 1983 from

Our Showcase Concert featured selected soloists and a large guitar ensemble with students from Manatee Community College, Southeast High School, Booker High School and Manatee School for the Arts and their teachers, as well as GuitarSarasota members.
